Platform Neutrality
Platform neutrality is the philosophy behind the EMC Documentum enterprise content management platform—it seamlessly integrates with any existing information technology (IT) infrastructure. This philosophy encompasses support for a wide range of platforms and operating system (OSs) such as AIX, HPUX, Linux, Solaris, and Windows and databases like DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase.
In addition, our platform supports all major J2EE application servers as well as all major portals, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directories, and single sign-on systems. The EMC Documentum platform is highly open-system-oriented and provides integration support to a large number of applications that are compliant with industry standards such as ADO.NET, FTP, ICE, JDBC, SMB, WebDAV, and Web Services. We also support standards-based process level integration for standards like FTP, HTTP, JMS, SMTP, and Web Services.
